Party held to honor 50th anniversary of Ralph McCauleys
XYOUNGSTOWN -- A 50th wedding anniversary party was held Dec. 17 to honor Ralph and Rebecca McCauley of Youngstown.
Hostess was Leola Sandine of Struthers, the honorees' daughter. The family circle also includes two grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
The couple were married Dec. 24, 1955, in Mansfield, W.Va. They lived at Fort Riley in Kansas until Mr. McCauley was discharged from the U.S. Army in 1956. They moved to Youngstown that year and have lived in the city since then.
Mr. McCauley was employed by Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. of LTV Steel Corp. from 1956 until his retirement in 1985. He became a bus driver for Liberty Local Schools in 1986 and retired from there in 2002.
Mrs. McCauley, a homemaker, has been a member of Baptist Gospel Tabernacle since 1963.
The couple are members of Liberty Senior Citizens.
