XYOUNGSTOWN -- Angela June Barwick and John C. Messenger were married at 2 p.m. Nov. 19 at St. Patrick Church.
The Revs. Edward Noga, John Horner and Joseph Rudjak presided. After a reception at Ciminero's Banquet Centre, Niles, the couple left on a Caribbean cruise. They live in Boardman.
Parents of the couple are David and Gloria Barwick and Atty. James and Barbara Messenger, all of Youngstown.
Swarovski crystals, bugle and seed beads adorned the bride's white, strapless, corset-style gown.
Madonna Barwick was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Ashley Campy, Amanda Cutright, Sara Plotts, Erin Anderson, Elizabeth Nelson, Atty. Ashley Gauthier and Elizabeth Butters. Flower girl was Callia Barwick.
Best man was Atty. William Messenger. Groomsmen were Gregory Briya, John Wolikow, Jerry Judeh, Jason Smaldino, William Burton, Brian Swantek and Dennis Merdich. Junior groomsman was Vincent Dangerfield, and William Henning was ring bearer.
Mrs. Messenger graduated summa cum laude from Youngstown State University with bachelor's degrees in professional writing and editing and combined science and a master's degree in English. She is an English instructor at YSU and Kent State University Trumbull Campus. Her husband has a bachelor's in business administration and a master's in accounting from YSU. He is a financial center manager with Sky Bank, Columbiana. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
