Turnpike accident kills Valley woman

A Campbell woman was killed Thursday afternoon after being ejected from the minivan in which she was riding when the driver lost control on the snow-covered Ohio Turnpike, according to police reports.
Arazley Rivera, 31, and two children were thrown from the van after it slid across three lanes of traffic and bounced into a guardrail before being struck by a tractor-trailer one mile west of Gate 193, the state Route 44 interchange in Portage County.
Rivera died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The two children thrown from the van and two others riding in it -- ranging from 5 to 12 years old, and all of Campbell -- sustained no serious injuries.
The driver, 45-year-old Felipe Estrada of Youngstown, suffered minor injuries. Only Estrada was wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
The driver and passenger of the truck, both from Bridgeport, Del., were uninjured. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating.
