"The Santa Clause" (8 p.m., ABC): OK, so it's not the best holiday film ever made, but "The Santa Clause" has its share of funny moments and clever twists. Tim Allen made his big-screen debut in this 1994 movie about a single dad who finds himself taking over for the deceased St. Nick.
"The Sound of Music" (7 p.m., ABC): The hills are alive once again as the musical favorite returns to television in a four-hour broadcast. Winner of five Oscars, the film stars Julie Andrews as a youthful nun-turned-governess.
"Meet the Santas" (9 p.m., Hallmark): Nicholas "Nick" Claus (Steve Guttenberg) and Beth Marshall (Crystal Bernard) prepare for their Christmas Eve nuptials and look toward taking over the family business from Nicholas' dad, Santa Claus. But first they must deal with Beth's mother, who wants to turn their special day into her own project. The movie is a sequel to 2004's "Single Santa Seeks Mrs. Claus," which was Hallmark Channel's highest-rated original movie. That movie airs at 7 p.m., just before "Meet the Santas."
