Struthers to play Columbiana for Holiday crown

STRUTHERS -- With its 42-27 victory over Mathews Friday, the Struthers High girls basketball team will play Columbiana tonight at 6 for the Struthers Wildcat Holiday Classic tournament championship.
The Wildcats rushed out to a 10-2 lead in the first quarter against Mathews and pushed that margin to 32-19 by the end of the third period.
Ashley Gailbraith poured in 25 points for the Wildcats (3-1). Lauren Roscoe led the Mustangs (2-1) with eight points.
Grand Valley 51, Fairport 25
FAIRPORT -- Junior guard Rachel Mansfield had a season-high 20 points and Grand Valley outrebounded Fairport, 55-24 in the Chagrin Valley Conference Valley Division game.
Sophomore Annslee DeLuca added 14 points and 15 rebounds, while sophomore Kelly Wagner had 10 rebounds.
Leah Moore's 10 points paced Fairport.
