Police charge teens in theft from display

HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) -- Police said they charged two teenagers Friday with stealing the baby Jesus figure from a Nativity scene.
Police said a student took the stolen statue to Hamilton Freshman School, showed it to other students and then gave it to another student to keep. Police were tipped about the whereabouts of the 100-year-old statue, which was reported missing Wednesday night from a display outside Zettler Funeral Home, and recovered it Friday.
They arrested two 15-year-old students on charges of theft and breaking and entering.
Baby Jesus figures also have disappeared this month from Ohio Nativity scenes in the Cincinnati suburb of Cheviot and the Sandusky County Fairgrounds.
