Hunting bill requiresapprentice supervision
COLUMBUS -- Apprentice hunters would have to be accompanied by someone 21 or older with a valid state hunting license to hunt under a bill the Ohio House approved last week.
Under the measure, licensed hunters would be prevented from supervising more than two apprentice hunters at one time.
The bill, which now goes on to the Senate, would create three types of apprentice licenses -- apprentice resident, apprentice nonresident and apprentice youth.
The Senate will now assign the bill to a standing committee for further study.
