Pupil suspended

CANFIELD -- A Canfield Middle School pupil accused of threatening another child has been suspended, the school principal confirmed.
Principal Ron Infante said he could not comment further.
The boy had a knife at the time he made the threat, a police report says. The report did not specify whether the boy pulled the knife.
The police file also does not indicate whether charges will be pursued. Juvenile officer Paul Lasky, who also is the school's resource officer, was not available to comment.
Infante reported the threat Dec. 8 to Lasky after one of the victim's parents called to say his son had been threatened Dec. 6 about 4:30 p.m., the police report said.
The report indicated that the knife, a jack knife with a blade in excess of 2 inches, was confiscated by police.
