Grove City defeats Hiram in two OTs
The Terriers blew a five-point lead in the second overtime.

HIRAM -- Bobby Turner scored with 25 seconds remaining and Grove City College survived two missed shots by Hiram in the final 10 seconds, as the Wolverines defeated the Terriers, 77-76, in two overtimes Wednesday night.
Hiram (1-5) led by eight points with 2 minutes, 40 seconds remaining in regulation, and by five points (76-71) with 2:19 to go in the second overtime.
Grove City (3-5) outscored the Terriers 9-1 down the stretch of the second half and forced overtime on Shawn Carr's 3-pointer with 28 seconds remaining.
The score was tied at 70 after one overtime.
In the second extra period, Hiram's Michael McDevitt made a three-point play, then made another free throw, and teammate T.C. Spencer added two foul shots to give the Terriers a 76-71 lead.
But, Carr made two charity tosses for the Wolverines, then Matt Phillips scored a layup with 53 seconds remaining to trim Hiram's lead to 76-75.
Ryan Gerber's steal set up Turner's dunk with 25 seconds to go, providing the winning points.
Carr led all scored with 22 points, while Gerber added 14 and Matt Phillips scored 10.
A.J. White scored 21 points for Hiram, while Brandon Pool added 17. Spencer finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Allegheny 82, Thiel 74
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Matt Majzlik had 25 points and nine rebounds to lead Allegheny (4-4).
Casey McCloskey added 24 points, five rebounds and four assists for the Gators. McCloskey was 6-for-9 on 3-pointers.
Thiel (2-5) was led by Joe Herrmann, who had 25 points and 10 rebounds. Stephan Laird added 14 points and Pete Farley finished with 10.
Women
MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Shannon Overdorff scored 18 points to lead Grove City past Allegheny, 72-60.
Elyse Bogusz added 13 points for the Wolverines (3-7), while Tammy Hess scored 10.
Allegheny (5-5) was led by Megan Vasilisin, with 12 points, and Courtney Steding, with 11.
