Canfield wins in overtime

BELOIT -- The Canfield High girls basketball team outscored West Branch 7-2 in overtime en route to a 41-36 victory on Wednesday.
Kate Popovec led the Cardinals with 12 points and 14 rebounds, while Bryanne Halfhill had 13.
Aimee Rice had 18 points -- including three 3-pointers -- and five rebounds for the Warriors (2-2), who outscored Canfield 10-6 in the fourth quarter. Amanda Stiffler added nine points.
Sharon 70, Wilmington 31
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Brittany Csatlos had 16 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds to lead Sharon in a District 10, Region 1 game.
Janine McDonald added 10 points and 12 rebounds for Sharon (5-1, 2-0), while Cara Dolci had 18 points and Candace Smith had 10.
Late Tuesday
SHAKER HEIGHTS -- Dana Daltorio scored 13 points to lead Mooney (1-2), which couldn't hold a 26-17 halftime lead in a 37-35 loss to Hathaway Brown on Tuesday. Alex Woytek added eight points.
