XYOUNGSTOWN -- The marriage of Blanche M. Baltes and Ralph A. Ruggiero, both of 34 N. Hazelwood Ave., was solemnized Nov. 26 at St. Brendan Church.
The Rev. James M. Daprile presided for the 1 p.m. ceremony, and a reception was held afterward at Argus Lodge in Canfield.
The bride, a daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn Precurato, is employed by the Youngstown Board of Education as a paraprofessional working with multi-handicapped children at West Elementary. She attended Youngstown Beauty Academy.
The groom, a son of the late Frank and Mary Ruggiero, served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Utina and is a substitute workshop specialist for Mahoning County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities at its Rayen Avenue workshop.
Escorted by her son, Michael E. Baltes, the bride wore a long, two-piece, champagne-colored dress adorned with crystals, beads and pearls, and held a bouquet of calla lilies, roses, English ivy and baby's breath.
Janice Grasso of Youngstown served as matron of honor for the bride. She wore a mauve and black ensemble.
Thomas Hewitt of Youngstown performed the duties of best man for the groom.
The couple have postponed their honeymoon until a later date and are living at the Hazelwood Avenue address.
