CANFIELD
Dec. 5
Theft: A teacher at Canfield High School, 100 Cardinal Drive, said that $45 was stolen from her classroom.
Dec. 7
Drug offense: A janitor found marijuana on the floor of the boys' locker room. It was wrapped in a paper towel and inside an envelope.
Passing bad checks: Nemenz IGA reported a customer passed five bad checks on a closed bank account Nov. 25 and Nov. 26. Efforts by the store to contact the man were unsuccessful.
Dec. 8
Menacing: A parent of a male pupil at Canfield Middle School called the school principal, saying his son had been threatened by another male pupil at the school. The son told the parent the other boy had a knife at the time the threat. The principal took the accused pupil to his office. In the boy's possession was a jackknife with a 3-inch blade.
Dec. 9
Theft: A car was stolen from Reinthaler Auto Village, 560 N. Main St. The vehicle is a 1990 light blue Buick LeSabre two-door with no plates, a cracked windshield and a missing hub cap on the front passenger side.

Aggravated menacing: A Youngstown man was arrested at a home in the 30 block of S. Raccoon Road on an aggravated menacing charge.
Theft: Furniture was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Rhode Island Drive.
Theft: A Coca-Cola machine was stolen from the Sleep Inn, 5555 Interstate Blvd.
Breaking and entering: A shed was broken into in the 5000 block of West Webb Road.
Counterfeit currency: A $20 bill was passed at the Seven-Seventeen Credit Union, 6460 Mahoning Ave.

Counterfeit currency: A counterfeit $20 bill was passed at Aldi's Supermarket, 5863 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A purse was stolen at Wedgewood Laundromat, 4286 New Road.
Identity theft: A telephone bill totaling $707 was falsely charged to a resident in the 4000 block of Fitzgerald Avenue.

Theft from auto: A compact disc player was stolen from a vehicle in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.

Drug offense: A Las Vegas, Nev., man was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana in the 600 block of North Raccoon Road.
