LaGrotta seeks coalition to provide assistance

ELLWOOD CITY, Pa. -- State Rep. Frank LaGrotta of Ellwood City is hoping to put together a coalition of agencies to help those needing assistance to keep warm this winter.
A summit is planned for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Wayne Township fire hall and will include public agencies, nonprofit service agencies, volunteer groups and utilities companies.
Representatives from the state health department and the governor's office will also be in attendance. "It is imperative that a proactive plan is put in place to help curtail what is shaping up to be a trying winter for many residents of Lawrence County," LaGrotta said.
