Two celebrations held for Roths' 50th anniversary
XPOLAND -- The family of Mr. and Mrs. Stefan Roth, 2428 Country Lane, began celebrating the couple's 50th wedding anniversary in June and continued the festivities in November.
The first event took place during a family vacation in early June at Salt Fork State Park in Cambridge. A highlight of the week was a surprise party given for the Roths by their daughters and sons-in-law, Karin and Mike Tatar and Chris and John Zifchak. Also participating were four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One grandchild was unable to attend.
On Nov. 26 the Roths were feted at a family dinner held in their honor at Dona Vito's Restaurant in Struthers.
Mr. Roth and the former Magda Kruger were married Nov. 19, 1955, in Geretsried, Germany, and came to the United States in November 1956.
Mr. Roth was employed by United Engineering before joining Packard Electric and retiring in 1997 from the Hubbard plant.
Mrs. Roth is a homemaker and member of Christ Community Church and the Liberty Seniors.
