Surprise party held for Antals' 50th anniversary

XYOUNGSTOWN -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Antal Sr., 2494 Ardenwood Place, was celebrated during a family luncheon held Nov. 19 at the Lockwood House in Boardman. Immediately afterward the couple were honored during a surprise reception at the same location.
Invitations for the celebration were extended by the couple's three children and their spouses, Debra and Andrew Antal Jr. of Ithaca, N.Y., Thomas Antal and Dineen Dowling of Akron, and Martha and Michael Campbell of Youngstown. The family includes five grandchildren.
Mrs. Antal retired in 1957 as office manager with Remington Rand. Mr. Antal was head custodian with Youngstown City Schools prior to retiring in 1997.
Mr. Antal and the former Martha White were united in marriage Nov. 19, 1955, at John Hus Evangelical Lutheran Church, and are members of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cornersburg.
