XNEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Epworth Methodist Church was the setting Nov. 12 for the 1:30 p.m. ceremony at which Marissa Kaylene Baker and Brian Andrew Shaffer, both of New Castle, were united in marriage.
The Rev. Rex Wasser presided at the wedding for the daughter of Benjamin and Lucynda Baker and the son of William and Sandra Shaffer, all of New Castle.
The newlyweds accepted congratulations at a reception held at The Villa before leaving on a wedding trip to Hocking Hills, Ohio. They live in New Castle.
The bride's strapless ballgown was enhanced with beads and sequins and featured a tulle skirt.
The honor attendant, Amy Sudimak of Youngstown, wore a mint green gown, and bridesmaids were the bride's sisters, Julie Purnell of Akron, who wore light blue, and Clarissa Tyson of Youngstown, who wore light pink. Serving as flower girl was the bride's niece, Lara Rose Tyson of Youngstown in a white gown.
The duties of best man were performed by the groom's brother, Nick Shaffer of New Castle, and groomsmen were his cousin, Greg Brunswick of New Castle, and Tye Tyson of Youngstown, the bride's brother-in-law. Ring bearers were Parker Bonace of New Castle, the groom's nephew, and Troy Tyson of Youngstown, a nephew of the bride.
Mrs. Shaffer is an office manager with International Track Systems Inc.
Mr. Shaffer is a steelworker with Ellwood Specialty Steel.
