XSTRUTHERS -- Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic was the honeymoon destination of Mathias John Pittmann II, 44 E. Haywood Blvd., and his bride, the former Jo Anna Taormina, 20100 Lorain Road, Fairview Park, who were married at 2 p.m. Nov. 5 at St. Nicholas Church and honored afterward at a reception at The Georgetown in Boardman.
The Rev. Phillip Rogers officiated for the daughter of Paul and Patricia Taormina, 1466 Turnberry Drive, Boardman, and the son of Mathias and Linda Pittmann, also of 44 E. Haywood Blvd. They live at 15550 Foxglove Lane, Middleburg Heights.
The bride's satin A-line gown featured a split back accented with beading.
Platinum-colored gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Christine Bush, and the bridesmaids, Beth Gordulic, Lisa Dingman, Lindsay Pittmann, Megan Heher and Kristine Cruz. Flower girl was Gianna Gordulic.
Tom Sandy was best man, and groomsmen were Rob Bodnar, Josh Miely, Joe Fabian, Dave Brill and Joe Ortiz. Noah Kazee was ring bearer, and ushers were Carl Gordulic, Jason Dingman and Jim Bush.
The bride graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration and from the Nuclear Medicine Institute at the University of Findlay. She is a nuclear medicine technologist at Lakewood Hospital.
The groom, a sales associate with Basista Furniture in Parma, graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in history.
