AMES, Iowa -- Curtis Stinson scored 20 points, Rahshon Clark added 17 and Jiri Hubalek finished with 13 points and eight rebounds to lead Iowa State over Iowa, the Hawkeyes' second loss to an unranked in-state rival in four days. Iowa (7-3), playing without injured point guard Jeff Horner, lost to Iowa State (6-2) for the third time in four games. The Cyclones forced the Hawkeyes into 20 turnovers, including five by Horner's replacement, Tony Freeman. Adam Haluska scored 10 of his 16 points in the first half and the Hawkeyes' Erek Hansen matched his career high with 14 points. Greg Brunner added 11 points and 12 rebounds.
No. 10 Florida 88, Bethune-Cookman 58
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Al Horford scored 17 points on 8-for-8 shooting and Florida shot an O'Connell Center-record 67.3 percent. Florida, unranked at the start of the season, is 9-0 for the second time in school history. If the Gators beat Jacksonville at home on Dec. 18, they will match the best start in school history set in 1951-52. Antonio Webb led Bethune-Cookman (3-5) with 19 points.
WOMEN
No. 6 Rutgers 77, Old Dominion 41
PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Cappie Pondexter matched her season high with 26 points and Rutgers held Old Dominion to two field goals in the final 14 minutes of the first half. Kia Vaughn had season highs of 17 points and 12 rebounds for Rutgers (7-0). Tish Lyons and Lawona Davis each scored 10 points for Old Dominion (1-4).
