Leetonia outscored Bloomfield 43-7 before halftime.
BERLIN CENTER -- Joe Petro scored 14 points, and Chris Truitt added nine as the Western Reserve High boys basketball team held off a late Lisbon rally in a non-league game.
Jake Zatchok added eight points for Reserve (2-0), which led 40-32 entering the fourth quarter.
Marcus Judy had 25 points, five assists and six steals for Lisbon (0-2), while Steve Tsilimos added 11 points.
Lowellville 48, Southern 45
LOWELLVILLE -- Ahead 32-24 after three quarters, the Rockets (1-0) held off a late rally by the Indians (2-1) to prevail.
Rocky Nolfi paced the Rockets with 17 points, and he grabbed seven rebounds and blocked four shots. Ed Barone added 11 points and pulled down eight rebounds.
Anthony Castro and Don DeBellum scored 12 and 10 points for the Indians.
Southington 54,Jackson-Milton 40
NORTH JACKSON -- After both teams scored nine points in the first quarter, Southington took a 27-23 halftime lead.
The turning point came in the third quarter when Jackson-Milton was outscored, 16-7.
Ryan Gilanyi had 22 points for Southington (1-1).
For Jackson-Milton, 6-3 senior forward Gary Pittman had 14 points, six rebounds and four steals, while teammate John Barringer, a senior, grabbed eight of the Blue Jays' 29 rebounds.
Leetonia 66, Bloomfield 21
LEETONIA -- The Bears (2-1) rushed out to a 27-3 lead in the first quarter and held a commanding 43-7 margin at intermission.
The Bears' Ryan Weikart took scoring honors with 20 points. Aaron Valentine and Dustin Bertchman had six rebounds apiece. Corey Rauschenbach had five assists and Jon Williams four steals.
West Branch 57, Minerva 41
BELOIT -- The Warriors kept their early-season winning streak alive, handing the Lions (1-1) their first loss.
Kevin Rockwell triggered the Warriors' (3-0) attack with 22 points and 11 rebounds.
Shane Young, Brandon McMillen and Andy Pappas chipped in with 13, 12 and 10 points respectively.
Lordstown 74,Heartland Christian 37
LORDSTOWN -- Junior Josh Lackey scored 14 points; senior Brandon Wickline added 12 points, and sophomore Scott Chaffee tacked on 10 points as Lordstown dominated their first game since a two-point loss to Sebring in their opener a week ago.
Of Lordstown's 37 rebounds, Wickline had nine and Lackey and Keith Simpson six apiece.
Cody Patterson's 16 points paced Heartland (0-2).
Lordstown (1-1) had a 6-16 record last season.
