Man pleads innocent in domestic violence case

GIRARD -- A 56-year-old Belgrade Street man remains in Trumbull County Jail after pleading innocent to misdemeanor domestic violence charges Thursday.
Police reports say Stacy D. House started acting erratic toward his ex-wife and 19-year-old son early Thursday morning. Reports say he tried to set a chair on fire while his ex-wife sat in it, threw a chair at his son and eventually started swinging a medieval-type ax around the house, damaging walls and property.
According to reports, when officers arrived at the home, House said a few crass words about his ex-wife and son, then threatened his son's life in front of officers. After being arrested, reports say, House complained of chest pains and was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center before being taken back to jail.
House is due back in court for a Dec. 21 pretrial. His bail has been set at $50,000 and he has been ordered to have no contact with his ex-wife or son.
