No. 10 Notre Dame was upset by Purdue.

WASHINGTON -- Candance Parker scored 14 points, and Tennessee held George Washington scoreless for 8 1/2 minutes in the second half en route to a 59-43 victory Wednesday night despite playing little like the nation's No. 1 team for stretches.
Parker added eight rebounds, falling just short of her fourth double-double. She tore a ligament in her left index finger in a victory at Stanford on Sunday and played with that finger taped to her middle finger.
Shanna Zolman added 12 points for the Lady Vols (8-0), who were closing a five-game road trip in which they will have logged more than 13,000 miles by the time they return home.
Jessica Simmonds led George Washington (2-3) with 13 points.
Before the game, there was little reason to think it would be as close as it was into the second half. The Lady Vols came in having outscored opponents by an average of 26.7 points this season and without a loss to an unranked opponent in 3 1/2 years. Tennessee moved atop the AP rankings this week for the first time since early last season, when it reached the Final Four.
The Colonials, meanwhile, had never lost by fewer than 14 points in five previous games against Tennessee, and were 0-3 against No. 1 teams.

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. -- Marissa Coleman had 22 points and nine rebounds to lead Maryland.
Crystal Langhorne added 20 points for the Terrapins (7-1), while Shay Doron had 17 points and 10 assists despite missing nearly 9 minutes in the second half because of foul trouble.
Brianne Edwards led Monmouth (1-5) with 12 points.
No. 24 Purdue 65,No. 10 Notre Dame 54
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Reserve Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton scored 14 points and Katie Gearlds added 13 as Purdue handed Notre Dame its first loss of the season.
The Irish (6-1) were playing their third game without ill coach Muffet McGraw.
The Boilermakers (5-2) held Notre Dame guard Megan Duffy to 12 points, six below her average. She didn't make a field goal for the first 19 minutes of the game as Purdue took a 39-22 halftime lead.
Erin Lawless had 11 points and 12 rebounds for Purdue, which outrebounded the Irish 47-34.
South Florida 79,No. 11 DePaul 77, OT
TAMPA, Fla. -- Jessica Dickson scored a season-high 35 points to lead South Florida in the Big East opener for both teams.
Dickson, who entered averaging a Big East-leading 24.2 points, went 5-of-6 from the free throw line during the final 30 seconds of overtime. She has scored 30 or more points in three of the last four games.
Sharon Cambridge and Ezria Parsons each had 12 points for South Florida (6-1).
Jenna Rubino had 19 points and Khara Smith added 17 points and seven rebounds for DePaul (7-1).
No. 13 Michigan St. 77, Detroit 52
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Liz Shimek scored a career-high 29 points in 32 minutes to lead Michigan State (5-2). Shimek, the reigning co-Big Ten player of the week, was 12-for-17 from the field and led all rebounders with 12.
It was Michigan State's ninth straight win over the Titans (2-6) and its school-record 17th consecutive victory at home.
Shawan Stubblefield had 13 points for Detroit.
Stony Brook 58, No. 20 Temple 56
STONY BROOK, N.Y. -- Jessica Smith scored 17 of her 21 points in the first half for Stony Brook, which was playing a nationally ranked Division I team for the first time.
Mykeema Ford added 17 points for the Seawolves (4-2), while Sidney Orndorff had 11. Dana Ferrara had four points and 11 rebounds for Stony Brook, which was outrebounded 39-25.
Candice Dupree had 23 points and 16 rebounds, 10 offensive, for the Owls (6-2), who lost their second straight.
