Raises for managers
Columbiana City Council recently gave pay raises to department managers. The name, title and pay rates for 2004, 2005* and 2006 are:
Tom Farley, EMS director: $37,260; $40,000; $50,000.
John Krawchyk, police chief: $58,477.50; $60,000; $60,524.21**.
Terry Shaffer, park, recreation and cemetery director: $45,240; $45,240; $55,000.
Mary Louise Dicken, director of finance; $47,610; $51,305; $55,000
Keith Chamberlain, city manager: $71,415; $74,000; $78,000.
Jay Groner, service director: $52,785; $55,392.50; $58,000.
Matt Polen, water superintendent: $48,645; $51,822.50; $55,000.
Lance Willard, waste water superintendent, $48,645; $51,822.50; $55,000.
*Raises for 2005 are retroactive to Jan. 1.
** Officials said the chief's raise is small because he is the only supervisor paid overtime.
