XCroatian Home, St. George Lodge 66, will hold a pasta dinner from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at the clubrooms, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown. Diners will have a choice of red or white spaghetti, ravioli, or cavatelli, and salad, bread and coffee.
XPost and auxiliary members of VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners with meatballs, salad, bread and coffee or tea from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children under 12. Carryout dinners are $5.25.
FRIDAY
XAmerican Legion Post 560, 103 12th St., Campbell, will sponsor fish or shrimp dinners from noon to 6 p.m. at the post home. Meals include macaroni and cheese or french fries, coleslaw, bread and coffee. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children. Dining room or carry-out available.
XHermitage School District will have its second annual ice cream social from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria, North Hermitage Road, Hermitage, Pa. The fund-raiser event is focused on Anti-Bullying. Cost is $2 per person at the door.
XHoly Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to noon Friday at (330) 755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide containers.
XHoly Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will be serving its original fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; and bread and butter, coffee or tea. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.
XHoly Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pirogi and hot pirogi lunches and homemade plain, cinnamon and powdered sugar cake doughnuts. Orders will be taken from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday at (330) 746-9528. Orders should be placed early and are to be picked up by 2 p.m. Friday. The cost of pirogi is $4 per dozen.
XNational Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 Lipkey Road, North Jackson, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Friday. Cost is $9 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. The menu will feature baked or fried fish, a cook's choice fish or 21-piece shrimp, and a choice of hot foods and salad. Dessert also is included along with coffee, tea or punch. Place your order by calling (330) 799-0084 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., with pickup 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost is $4 per dozen. Patrons may provide their own containers, and are asked to use the side entrance.

XPotato, prune and kraut pirogi will be sold at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at (330) 755-1316. Orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-ins.
XSt. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will be baking Italian-style red and white pizza. Phone orders will be accepted at (330) 788-0025 between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. only. Pickup will be until 1 p.m.
XSt. Paul the Apostle Church, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. There will be no sales Christmas week. The final sales of the year will be Dec. 16, and sales will resume Jan. 6.
XSt. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders are taken at (330) 747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 1 Friday, based upon availability. The cost is $4 a dozen for potato and kraut and for cottage cheese. Lunches are served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance. Dec. 16 will be the last day for sales until Jan. 13. No hot lunches will be served Dec. 16.
XSt. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna will serve dinners of baked or fried fish, parsley potatoes, pirogi, applesauce, cole slaw, bread beverage and desserts. The cost is $7.50, adults; $7, seniors; and $4, those 6 to 12. Children under 6 are free. Takeout will be available beginning at 3:15.

XBethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, Boardman, will hold a Christmas "Cookie Walk" (sale of cookies by the dozen) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
XCalvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave., extension, North Lima, will sell homemade cookies, candies, kolachi and other items from 10 a.m. to noon at the church.
SUNDAY
XGuilford Lake Ruritan, state Route 172, Guilford Lake, will serve a special holiday dinner of stuffed pork chop, scalloped potatoes, noodles, green beans, salad, dessert and beverage from 12:30 to 4 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children.
XOur Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 381 Robbins Ave., Niles, will serve cavatelli dinners from noon to 5 p.m. at Marian Hall. Meals include two meatballs, salad, bread, cake and beverage. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10.
XOur Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the church hall. Cost is $5.50 for adults and $3 for children. Carryouts will be available; containers are 75 cents or you can provide your own.
