XNEW MIDDLETOWN -- A reception was held at St. Mary Assumption Social Center in Youngstown to honor Myron D. Sahli III and his bride, the former Heather Safarek, following their wedding Oct. 29 at St. Paul the Apostle Church.
The marriage was solemnized at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Nicholas Shori, and after accepting congratulations the couple left on a wedding trip to Disney World in Orlando, Fla., and a Disney cruise.
The daughter of Joseph Jr. and Mary Jo Safarik of Struthers and the son of Myron Jr. and Debbie Sahli of New Middletown live in Struthers.
The bride wore a halter-style A-line gown of satin enhanced with beading and featuring a chapel train.
The bride's sister and honor attendant, Holly Safarek, wore a cranberry-red gown, as did the bridesmaids, Gina and Angela Sahli, the groom's sisters; Michelle Sahli, his cousin; Nicole Strain; Cheryl Kovalcik; and Andrea Zagger.
The duties of best man were performed by the groom's brother, Vince Sahli, and serving as groomsmen were Bill D'Angelo; Joe Safarek, the bride's brother; Chad Griffith; Brian Harnutovsky; George Mirich; and Dan Dull.
The bride graduated from the University of Toledo with a bachelor's degree in marketing. She is the director of ticket management with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers in Niles.
The groom is employed by Tabor's Landscaping in North Lima.
