Austintown police charge Youngstown man with criminal trespassing

AUSTINTOWN -- A man who was found at Fitch High School with a steak knife in his pocket was charged with criminal trespass and illegal conveyance and possession of a deadly weapon at school, according to police and court records.
Joshua A. West, 25, of Eastway Drive, Youngstown, was arrested at 12:17 p.m. Friday in the school's main hallway.
Police were called because West had been warned to stay off school property after a theft offense, a police report said.
When police searched him, they found the knife, according to the report.
West was also wanted by Youngstown State University police for failing to appear on theft and trespassing charges, the police report said.
He was to appear in court Monday at 1 p.m. for an arraignment, but the results of that court appearance were not available by press time.
