SUN CITY, South Africa -- Jim Furyk won the Nedbank Challenge in a four-way playoff Sunday, making a 9-foot birdie chip on the second extra hole.
Furyk, who earned $1.2 million, closed with an even-par 72 to match Adam Scott (73), 2004 winner Retief Goosen (72) and Darren Clarke (69) at 6-under 282.
Angel Cabrera, who held a share of the third-round lead, closed with an 80 to finish eighth in the 12-player field at 1 over. Ernie Els, returning from a 41/2-month layoff because of a knee injury, was 2 over after a 75.
LPGA Tour Q-School
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Ai Miyazato completed a record-setting victory to earn a card for next year and give the tour yet another young player worth watching.
The 20-year-old Japanese closed with an even-par 72 for a 17-under 343 total, 12 shots ahead of Libby Smith (69) and Lee Ann Walker-Cooper (71). It was the largest margin of victory in LPGA Q-school since it began in 1973.

WINTER GARDEN, Fla. -- John Holmes shot a 6-under 66 for a share of the lead with D.A. Points with one round left in the tense six-round event.
The 23-year-old Holmes, who turned pro after helping the United States win the Walker Cup in August, matched Points (67) at 21-under 339 on Orange County National's Panther Lake and Crooked Cat course. Holmes and Points, the only players in the field with five rounds in the 60s, played Crooked Cat on Sunday.
MBNA Father/Son Challenge
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Stefan and Bernhard Langer won the MBNA WorldPoints Father/Son Challenge, combining for an 11-under 61 and a one-stroke victory over five-time event champion Ray Floyd and son Robert.
Australian PGA
COOLUM, Australia -- Robert Allenby completed a two-week Australian sweep, birdieing the final hole for a one-stroke victory over Mathew Goggin.
Allenby, the Australian Open winner last week at Moonah Links, completed the third round with an 8-under 64 and closed with a 67 for an 18-under 270 total on the Coolum Resort course. He also in 2000 and 2001 at Royal Queensland.
Hong Kong Open
HONG KONG -- Scotland's Colin Montgomerie won by a stroke when South Africa's James Kingston made a double bogey on the final hole.
The 42-year-old Montgomerie won his 30th career European tour title, closing with an even-par 70 for a 9-under 271 total on the Hong Kong Golf Club course.
Kingston shot a 71 to tie for second with South Korea's K.J. Choi (69), Thailand's Thammanoon Srirot (68), American Edward Loar (69) and Taiwan's Lin Keng-chi (69).
