XBOARDMAN -- The exchange of nuptial vows took place during a 2 p.m. ceremony Oct. 29 at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park as Eileen M. Carson and Shawn M. Rogers were united in marriage.
The Revs. D.H. Anderson and Cynthia Palmer officiated at the wedding, and a reception followed at the O.C.C.H.A. reception hall in Youngstown. After a honeymoon at Atlantic City, the couple live at 7369 West Blvd.
Parents of the bride are Edward J. Palmer III, 5229 Logan Arms Drive, Girard, and Thelma L. Palmer, 31 Tremble Ave., Campbell, and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Rogers Sr., 11 N. Forest Ave., Youngstown.
The bride wore an ivory strapless ball gown detailed with Swarovski crystals and pearls and featuring a chapel train.
The honor attendants, Sandra Cash and Francine Jackson, wore blue gowns. Wearing silver gowns were bridesmaids Janet Cornwell, Alison Ortiz, Krystal Rogers, Asia Neville, Michelle Rogers and Amber Ortiz. Flower girls were Kristen Carson and Azarijah Jackson.
The duties of best man were performed by Chris Carson, and groomsmen were Lewis Palmer, James Rogers, Ronald Rogers Jr., Chris Smith, Gregory Howard and Kesean Adams. Ring bearer was Jordan Gregory. Serving as ushers were Sean Aaron, Anthony Venable, Tameron Jackson and Ayeshia Jackson.
The bride is a caregiver with Arcrae Inc. in Youngstown.
The groom is a communications officer with Mahoning County Enhanced 911 in Youngstown.
