The teams last met in 1987-88 when The Herd defeated the Penguins 79-65 at Marshall. Quin Humphrey scored 29 points and 10 rebounds and leads the team in both categories. The Penguins will also be trying to snap a 26-game non-conference losing streak on the road dating to 2001. Marshall defeated Maryland-Eastern Shore in its last game, 66-56, Thursday. Both of The Herd's victories this season have come at home, the other coming over Evansville, 70-67. Their three losses were on the road.Next up: The Penguins continue with the second of a three-game road trip Wednesday night at Eastern Michigan at 8:30.
