Recovery Restoration plans annual banquet
AUSTINTOWN -- Recovery Restora-tion Inc., a community faith-based, nonprofit organization, will have its fourth annual banquet Dec. 9 at St. Maron's Hall, 1555 Meridian Road. The event will start with a social time at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:45.
This year's honoree will be the Rev. Kenneth L. Simon, pastor of New Bethel Baptist Church. Speaker will be Elder John Terry Allen.
The organization offers a youth program, Youth to Restored Living, a collaboration with Youngstown city schools and Youngstown Weed and Seed. There also is an entrepreneurial program for ninth- through 12th-graders at Woodrow Wilson High School.
The organization also is in partnership with other agencies managing a mentoring program, Mentoring From the Heart, for pupils at Alpha School of Excellence for Boys and Athena School of Excellence for Girls.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. A table of six is $100. Tickets may bebought at Protestant Family Service or New Bethel Baptist Church or by calling Recovery Restoration at (330) 480-0860.
