Garden Forum lists winners of November flower show

The holiday show was held at the Davis Center.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Awards were presented Nov. 9 to the winners of the holiday flower show held by the Garden Forum of the Greater Youngstown Area at the Davis Education and Visitor Center at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park.
Dorothy Haddox was in charge of the show, at which the following garden club members received blue ribbons in the design category: Elsie DeHoff, Austintown; Esther Bertch, Beverly Italiano and Ann Ellis, Nature Lovers; Dolly Vivalo, Driftwood; Kathleen Wellingham, Ikebana; Madeline Pedaline and Susie Cochran, East Liverpool; and Mildred Campean and Pearl Marlos, Gleaners.
A Gold Seal award for design was presented to DeHoff and Marlos.
Winners in the category for crafts were: Mary Schall and Bobbie Kalmer, Austintown; Italiano and Ellis, Nature Lovers; Terry Kelly, East Liverpool; Marlos, Gleaners; Karen Tobias, Mahoning; Roxanne Macynski, public.
The Gold Seal for crafts went to Italiano.
In the horticulture division the following received blue ribbons: Schall and Mary Harshman, Austintown; Dianna Mullins, Ellis and Sheila Bowman, Nature Lovers; Kelly, East Liverpool; Marlos, Gleaners; Carol Lunger, member at large; Peggy Potts, Johnny Appleseed; Richard Smith, Men's Garden Club; Haddox, Our Lady of Fatima; Joyce Cervone and Tobias, Mahoning; Martha Murphy, St. Edward; Carol Cartwright, St. Michael; and Norma Roden and Macynski, public.
Recipients of Gold Seals in horticulture went to Harshman, Lunger and Murphy.
