BOARDMAN -- A highlight of the 50th annual Cinderella Ball, sponsored Nov. 25 by the Junior Civic League, was the crowning of Breonna Rivers as the 2005 Miss Cinderella and the selection of Tanisha Hurt as first attendant, and Shantae Rollins as second attendant.
The ball was held at Mr. Anthony's, where 16 debutantes from area high schools and their escorts were presented and applauded by the more than 750 in attendance.
Miss Rivers was crowned by Jeanie Lee McDowell, the 1955 Miss Cinderella, and each of the three honorees received a trophy in recognition of her accomplishments.
Serving as master of ceremonies for the gala was Ode Aduma, retired WKBN journalist and inductee into the Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
Purpose
