Jewish center names new director



YOUNGSTOWN -- Jodie Damioli, Jewish Community Center president, has announced the hiring of Sandford Kessler, lifelong Mahoning Valley resident, as new director of the Jewish Community Center.
Born and raised in Boardman, Kessler, known as "Sandy," studied mechanical engineering at the University of Cincinnati. He has previously served as president, vice president of operations and vice president of new business development for several plastics businesses in Youngstown and Boston. Most recently, he was the owner of the online medical records service, FamilyHealthRecord.com.
Kessler and his wife, Cynthia, have four children.
Founded in 1935, the Jewish Community Center is a nonprofit community, social and family-centered agency serving residents of the Mahoning Valley. The JCC provides educational, cultural, social, recreational and fitness programs and services to men, women and children.
Kessler said he plans to evaluate all aspects of the JCC to better serve current and future members.
