Contemplating festive, flavorful confections

Taylor Franczkowski, left, and Sierra Sharp, both 7 and members of Brownie Troop 576 from Austintown, sort cookies at the Austintown Fire Station on Mahoning Avenue for the township's annual Christmas tree-lighting ceremony. The festivities Thursday night were in Wickliffe Circle Park. The event included an outdoor sing-along, visit from Santa and cookies and hot chocolate. Taylor is a daughter of Bryan and Karen Franczkowski. Sierra is a daughter of Randy and Janet Sharp.
