McDonald gets second victory
WINDHAM -- Senior point guard Ashleigh Tondo had 28 points to lead McDonald to its second straight victory, a 66-45 win over Windham.
Emily Dolsak and Ashshena Stephens both had 13 points while Amy Dolsak added 12 points for the Blue Devils who are averaging 76 points in their first two games after beating Girard, 86-35.
On Wednesday, McDonald took a 21-7 lead lead and held on.
Joanna Cline's 14 points led Windham.
Niles 49 Campbell 21
CAMPBELL -- Nina Gabrelcik had 14 points, including three 3-point goals, and three steals while Stephanie Parish added 11 points and nine rebounds to pace Niles (1-1).
Danielle Bell had nine points and Chaka Walker nine rebounds to lead Campbell (0-2).
Niles committed only seven turnovers to Campbell's 22, while the Red Devils went 1-for-12 from the field in the second quarter to lose their slim lead.
Southeast 68, Garfield 21
RAVENNA -- Megan Wain and Hannah Harnar each scored 17 points to lead Southeast past Garfield in their opener.
Lindsay Speidel added 10 points for the winners.
Rachel Pratt had 10 points for Garfield.
