Exec. director resigns from Chevrolet Centre

YOUNGSTOWN -- Jeff Kossow, executive director for the Chevrolet Centre has resigned, effective Dec. 16.
Kossow leaves the facility after overseeing both the construction and management of the convocation center since inception.
Tom Sadler, president of Global Entertainment's Facility Management Division, issued a statement announcing the resignation and thanking Kossow for his role in bringing the state-of-the-art facility to fruition.
The statement gave no reason for the resignation except to say, "Jeff's specialty has been in launching new venues, and his expertise in that role has played a significant part in our success to date."
"I have greatly enjoyed my time in Youngstown and am confident that the Chevrolet Centre will continue to provide an outstanding home to world class entertainment," said Kossow in the statement, which was released to the press Wednesday evening.
"A great number of people have played significant parts in making the Chevrolet Centre a reality, and I am thankful to have been actively involved in the process," Kossow said in the statement.
Roger Swanson, vice president of Global Entertainment's Facility Management Division, will temporarily assume executive management duties of the facility while permanent general manager candidates are considered, the statement said.
