Court offices will receive computers
WARREN -- Trumbull County commissioners approved the purchase Wednesday of 20 computers to be used in court offices as part of the CourtView Project.
The project, which officials hope to have up and running in January, will provide computer access to a variety of court records and enable electronic filing of lawsuits and other court documents. The county will buy the computers from CDW-G of Chicago.
Linda Sypert, the county's information services director, said she would be trying to buy about 20 computers per month for a while. Too many computers being delivered at once would produce a storage problem. The new system will require almost 200 new computers, she said.
Commissioners also agreed to extend waterlines in Liberty Township along Logan Way Drive and Tibbetts-Wick Road.
The waterline will extend from Will-O-Wood Drive north on Logan Way Drive to the intersection of Tibbetts-Wick Road. It will then extend west along Tibbetts-Wick to within about 500 feet of the intersection of Tibbetts-Wick and Sampson Drive. There are already lines at each end of the proposed connection.
The county is participating with Girard city in a request for Ohio Public Works Commission funding for the project.
