Aug. 24
Criminal damaging: A man in the 500 block of North Main Street discovered a garage door was damaged when someone broke in.
Aug. 26
Stolen property: An employee at a North Main Street business told police he rented out three musical instruments, two of which have not been returned. The name of the business was not in the report.
Bad check: A worker at Alterations Etc., 40 S. Main St., reported receiving a $90.85 check from a Lowellville woman that was returned for nonsufficient funds.

Recovered property: A man in the 500 block of North Main Street found a red Honda all-terrain vehicle in his back yard.

Aug. 23
Burglary: A woman in the 400 block of Orlo Lane returned to discover property missing from her home.
Theft: An employee at Splash & amp; Shine Auto Bath, 869 E. Midlothian Blvd., reported the theft of a vending machine.
Burglary/auto theft: After police responded to a burglary in the 400 block of Brookfield Road and to a woman who reported her car stolen, they arrested two 25-year-old Boardman men. One was charged with burglary, receiving stolen property and resisting arrest, and was wanted on two warrants; the other suspect was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property and forgery, and was wanted on a warrant from Mercer, Pa.
Attempted theft: An employee at Field of Dreams, 410 McClurg Road, told police someone tried to steal money from a vending machine.
Theft: A worker at the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall found out her wallet was taken from her purse in an employee's office.
Theft: A woman in the 1800 block of Lynn Mar Avenue reported a compact-disc player/radio stolen from her vehicle.
Identity theft: A Sabrina Drive man discovered someone obtained his credit-card number and personal information to try to make an online purchase.
Theft: Police arrested two Youngstown girls, 15 and 16, on theft charges. The pair was accused of stealing merchandise from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Assault: A woman called police after her husband was assaulted in the Best Buy parking lot, 561 Boardman-Poland Road.
Stolen property: Officers ran a registration check on a vehicle that pulled into the Boardman police station and determined the license plates had been stolen in Youngstown. Arrested was a Youngstown woman, 19, on one felony count of receiving stolen property. She also was wanted on a misdemeanor warrant from Boardman charging her with child endangering.
Theft: An employee at Piercing Pagoda in the Southern Park Mall reported the theft of 28 pairs of earrings.
Arrest: A Youngstown man, 21, was arrested at the Mahoning County Jail. He was wanted on a warrant from Boardman charging him with theft.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 44-year-old Boardman man on charges of domestic violence and obstructing official business.
Arrest: Police picked up a Youngstown man, 27, on charges of obstructing official business and possession of drugs. Officers say he gave several names and Social Security numbers, and he had Vicodin hidden in a candy box.
Assault: A woman told police another woman shoved her while at Wal-Mart.
Theft: A man in the 1700 block of Lynn Mar Avenue reported a stereo and a radar detector stolen from his car.
Burglary: A man in the 4800 block of Grover Drive discovered his home had been broken into.
Theft by deception: A Youngstown man, 22, was charged with theft by deception after police say he tried to return a pair of pants and a cellular phone to Wal-Mart after stealing them there.
Theft: Police arrested a 15-year-old Boardman girl on a theft charge after someone took a tube of lip gloss from Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: A Mineral Ridge woman, 21, and a Girard girl, 15, faced theft charges. They were accused of stealing lip gloss and perfume from Wal-Mart.
Breaking and entering: A man in the 5200 block of Old Oxford Lane discovered someone had broken into his garage.
Theft: A man discovered medications missing from his Traymore Court residence.
Theft: Police surveillance resulted in the arrests of two girls, 13 and 14, and a boy, 13, all from Youngstown. Charges were theft and receiving stolen property after officers say they saw the trio steal miscellaneous items from various stores.
Arrest: A 28-year-old Youngstown woman was taken into custody during a traffic stop and charged with obstructing official business. She also was wanted on warrants charging her with possession of criminal tools and theft.

Theft: A woman who dropped her car off at Frederick Dodge, 7554 Market St., found damage to the vehicle and items taken from it.
Aggravated robbery: A man told police someone threatened him with a weapon near Market Street and Stadium Drive before taking his wallet.
Assault: A Gertrude Avenue man told police his son was assaulted.
Assault: A woman reported being assaulted at the Southern Park Mall.
Arrest: A Cleveland woman, 34, wanted on a warrant from Boardman charging her with receiving stolen property, surrendered to police.
Domestic violence: A 21-year-old Campbell man was arrested at the Mahoning County Jail on a warrant charging him with domestic violence.
Arrest: Police picked up a Youngstown man, 21, at a residence in the 70 block of Maple Drive. He faced three counts of burglary and one count each of resisting arrest, obstructing official business and disorderly conduct.
Domestic violence: A 35-year-old Youngstown man whom police arrested was wanted on a warrant from Boardman charging him with domestic violence.
Drugs: A Canfield man, 21, apprehended at the Southern Park Mall faced charges of possession of drugs, a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
Drugs: Police cited a 21-year-old New Waterford man after pulling over his vehicle in the 4000 block of Glenwood Avenue. The charge was possession of marijuana.

Criminal damaging: A man told police someone tossed a large rock and broke a window on his truck as he drove on Tudor Lane.
Possible fraud: A woman in the 5500 block of Southern Boulevard reported someone tried to elicit information from her regarding her bank account.
Criminal damaging: A Struthers police officer reported an egg was tossed at his cruiser, striking the windshield, as he drove near Sheridan and Mathews roads.
Theft: A 22-year-old Boardman woman was arrested on a warrant charging her with theft after a theft at Kaufmann's in the Southern Park Mall. She also was charged with obstructing official business.
Arrest: A Boardman man, 18, surrendered to police. He was wanted on a warrant charging him with complicity to theft.
Domestic violence: Police took into custody a 25-year-old Boardman man after he surrendered on a warrant charging him with two counts of domestic violence.
Arrest: Police apprehended a 54-year-old Struthers man at Miller Rod & amp; Gun, 5140 Youngstown-Poland Road. The suspect was wanted on two felony warrants charging him with one count each of forgery and receiving stolen property.

Identity fraud: A Jaguar Drive man reported being a victim.
Criminal damaging: A man returned to his car at the Southern Park Mall and found it had been damaged.
Breaking and entering: A man in the 1700 block of Alverne Drive discovered his tool shed had been broken into and a battery for a riding mower was missing.
Auto theft: A woman came out of Value City Department Store, 1130 Boardman-Poland Road, and found her car had been stolen.
Theft: A woman reported her wallet stolen while she was at Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.
Arrests: After stopping their car, police arrested a Boardman man, 41, and a Youngstown woman, 48. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after officers say he had suspected paraphernalia in his possession and car. The woman was wanted on warrants charging her with probation violation and possession of stolen property.
Aug. 28
Domestic violence: Officers picked up a Boardman man, 28, walking on Market Street when they learned he was wanted on a felony warrant charging him with domestic violence.
Criminal mischief: A man called police after someone spray-painted obscenities on street signs, a fire hydrant and the road itself on Applewood Boulevard.
Theft: A woman reported her cellular phone stolen while she was at Cici's Pizza, 463 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A Willow Drive man reported the theft of two bus radiators and an evaporator device.
Vandalism: A man in the 80 block of Washington Boulevard reported damage to his motorcycle.
Drugs: After her car was stopped, a 19-year-old Youngstown woman was arrested. She was charged with possession of drugs (crack cocaine), possession of marijuana and obstructing official business, and was wanted on a warrant charging her with probation violation.
Citations: Police cited a man, 42, and a woman, 44, both from Warren, at the Bull & amp; Bear Tavern, 1247 Boardman-Poland Road. Each was charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated.
