BAZAARS
XOur Way Home Christian Fellowship, 429 Ohio Ave., Girard, will hold a bazaar from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the church. All proceeds will go to the church building fund.

FUND-RAISERS
XSt. Joseph Development Foundation will host a fund-raising event, "A Taste of Our Community," to benefit the new Healing Garden at St. Joseph Health Center. The event will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Cancer Care Center at the hospital. After the ribbon-cutting, the event will feature gourmet food by Alberini's, Leo's Ristorante and Panera Bread; live entertainment; a silent auction; and a special grand prize drawing. Those in attendance may purchase engraved tribute bricks and other garden features. Attire is casual. Tickets are $75 per person. XRichard Brown Memorial United Methodist Church, 1205 Elm St. at Woodbine Avenue, will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
XFund-raising committee for the New Middletown branch of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County will hold a community yard and craft sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 10 at Welker Park behind the New Middletown Municipal Building. To reserve a spot, reservation forms can be picked up at the library. Each spot is $30 and will accommodate up to four tables. SPECIAL EVENTS
XLake Milton Presbyterian Church, 942 Grandview Road, is seeking vendors for its annual Fall Farm Market. A chicken barbecue will kick off this year's market on Sept. 10 with serving to begin at 2 p.m. Market hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and all products must be locally grown or produced. Rental sites are 16 by 20 feet and 10 by 10 feet for a nominal fee. The market will conclude Oct. 15 with an Apple Butter Festival. Contact Bill Strickland at (330) 654-5425 for information.
