XLIBERTY TOWNSHIP -- Atty. and Mrs. Ronald Galip of Logan Way in Liberty Township and of Naples, Fla., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 27 at a Mass at St. Maron Church and a dinner afterward at Hampton Inn on state Route 224.
Invitations for the celebration were issued by the couple's daughter and son-in-law, Robert Sr. and Shelley Galip Root of Lake Milton, their daughter, Kathy Mootz of Liberty, and two grandchildren.
The former Eileen Bott and Atty. Galip met when she starred in a play at Youngstown College, where he was a student prior to attending law school at Ohio State University. They were married in 1955.
Mrs. Galip was a member of the Women's Bar Auxiliary, Liberty Racquet Club, Logan Swim and Tennis Club, and the Jewish Community Center.
Atty. Galip, who is semi-retired, has been a lifelong member of St. Maron Church and active in its councils and committees. He is also a member of Fonderlac Country Club and the Club at the Strand in Naples. He is in private practice, specializing in commercial real estate and shopping center law. He has taught classes at national shopping center conventions and law conferences.
