Women's event to focus on laughter and health

Hints on staying healthy and happy will be provided at the dinner.
LIBERTY -- Western Reserve Care System Woman's Board and Trumbull Memorial Hospital Women's Auxiliary will sponsor a special dinner event for women from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 21 at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex Centre, 1620 Motor Inn Drive.
"Staying Healthy and Beautiful: Health, Humor and Laughter" is the theme for the event that will provide an insight into how laughter and humor impact lives, reduce stress and are important ingredients for health and relationships.
Karen Vadino, motivational speaker, humorist, trainer and consultant, will speak on "Laughing: Just for the Health of It." Through humorous words of encouragement, this talk is designed to increase awareness about the importance of humor and how it can improve the quality of everyday life. The speaker will explain the significance between health and humor and the emotional and physical benefits, and suggest ways to put more humor into life.
Health-related organizations will provide a variety of exhibits for the event that will include a cash bar and registration at 5 p.m., dinner at 6 and the speaker at 6:45. The cost for the evening is $20.
