XMcDONALD -- The exchange of nuptial vows took place during a 3 p.m. ceremony July 30 as Sara E. Woods and Sean J. Gardner, both of 440 Pennsylvania Ave., were united in marriage at Woodland Park United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Mike McHale presided at the ceremony for the daughter of Gilbert and Shawn Woods, 1725 Salt Springs Road, Mineral Ridge, and the son of Harry and Pearlene Vinion, 172 N. Beverly, Austintown.
After a reception at The Victorian Ballroom in Niles, the couple left on a wedding trip to the New England States. They live at the Pennsylvania Avenue address.
The bride's gown featured a tank-style corset bodice, a full skirt and a train. It was enhanced with embroidery and beading.
Sage-green gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Michelle Stiver, and the bridesmaids, Rebekah Jolly, Felicia Woods, the bride's sister-in-law, and her cousins, Anna and Sophia Gault. Flower girl was the couple's daughter, Katie Gardner.
Best man was the groom's brother, Billy Gardner, and groomsmen were Benny Barrett; Brandon Woods, the bride's brother; Aaron Schmidt, her cousin; and Pat Vinion, the groom's cousin. Ring bearer was Tyler Rusu, his cousin.
The bride graduated from the International Culinary Academy in Pittsburgh with an associate in specialized technology in culinary arts. She is a line cook at the Hickory Bar and Grille in Hermitage.
The groom served with the U.S. Marine Corps in the Persian Gulf and Somolia and is a glazier with Local 847 in Youngstown.
