XYOUNGSTOWN -- A reception and dinner were held Aug. 13 at the Austin Manor in Austintown in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Matkoskey, 5157 Kirk Road, who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Invitations for the event were issued by their family, Joyce Stare of Beavercreek, Mary Lou and Dave Moser of Troy, and Diane and David James of Lancaster. Six grandchildren complete the family circle.
Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church in Somerset, Pa., was the setting Sept. 11, 1955, as Mr. Matkoskey and the former Sarah Shaulis were united in marriage. They are members of Zion Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Matkoskey retired in June 1991 as adminstrator-teacher with Zion Weekday Church School. She is a member of Mahoning County 4-H and Alumni Club, Austintown Farm Bureau and many church groups.
