Celebration is planned for Cravens' 50th
XBOARDMAN -- Celebrated over the Labor Day weekend will be the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Craven, 6699 Appleridge Circle.
A highlight of the event will be a private formal dinner to be held in their honor at Caffe Capri.
Hosts for the festivities will be their family, Edward Jr. and Allison Craven of Brick, N.J.; Michael and Lynn Craven, Monroe Township, N.J.; Thomas and Linda Craven, Aberdeen, N.J.; Karen and Randy Laskey, Cherryville, N.C.; and Ann Marie and Steve Billock, Boardman. There are 13 grandchildren in the family.
The former MaDonna Marshall and Mr. Craven were married Aug. 27, 1955, at Our Mother of Good Council Church in Blasdell, N.Y. They are members of St. Charles Church.
Mrs. Craven served as a den mother for the Boy Scouts, and was employed at New Jersey Bell Telephone Co. in Woodbridge, N.J., and K-mart Corp. in Boardman prior to retiring.
Mr. Craven retired n 1987 from Koppers Co. in Youngstown, where he was a general foreman. He served with the U.S. Army and was a Little League coach.
