XAUSTINTOWN -- Thomas Sewell and his bride, the former Heather Betts, both of 5000 Pine Tree Drive, Fort Pierce, Fla., honeymooned in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, after their July 30 wedding at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
The Rev. John Popovich presided for the daughter of Richard and Carolyn Betts, 3897 Dunbar St., and the son of Vicki Hafner of Fort Pierce and the late George Sewell.
A reception followed at the Maronite Center in Youngstown.
The bride's A-line gown of white silk organza was enhanced with black embroidery, bugle beads and sequins, and featured a sweetheart neckline and chapel train.
Holly Betts was her sister's honor attendant, and bridesmaids were Emily and Amanda Stanavich, the bride's cousins; Sue Cantolupo; and Laura Valot and Jessie Hafner, the groom's sisters. Junior bridesmaids were Caitlin and Stephanie Stanavich, also her cousins. All wore black gowns. Flower girls in white dresses were Christie Stanavich, her cousin, and Allyson Valot, his niece.
Chaz Walter served as best man, and groomsmen were Ryan Bard; Gilbert Pagan and Trey Mauric, the groom's cousins; Doug Valot, his brother-in-law; and Tony Thompson. Ring bearer was Zadan Walter.
The couple live in Fort Pierce.
The bride is pursuing a degree in secondary education at Florida Atlanta University, and the groom owns and operates Tom Sewell Racing.
