XGIRARD -- The marriage of Theresa Marie Hopper and Rodney Allen Gearheart was solemnized by the Rev. Ron Maurer during a 3:30 p.m. ceremony that took place July 23 at First Christian Church of Girard.
A reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in McDonald in honor of the daughter of James and Theresa Hopper, 1452 Lincoln Ave., Mineral Ridge, and the son of Kathy and Greg Gearheart, 6303 W. Bogart Road, Castalia.
After a honeymoon at St. Lucia, the couple live at 520 Kilbourne St., Bellevue.
The bride's princess-style ballgown was designed with an organza skirt and embellished with rose appliques, rhinestones and pearls.
Victorian lilac gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Katrina Walter of Mansfield, and the bridesmaids, Kristin Lonz and Sarah Didion, both of Sandusky.
The duties of best man were performed by Steve Friend of Norwalk, and groomsmen were James Hopper Jr. of Mineral Ridge, a brother of the bride, and Jeff Gearheart of Huron, the groom's brother.
A graduate of Mount Union College in Alliance with a bachelor's degree in music, the bride is a music teacher for kindergarten through 12th grades with St. Paul and St. Mary schools in Norwalk.
The groom, a computer programmer with Lewco in Sandusky, earned a bachelor's degree in business administration at Tiffin University.
