XBOARDMAN -- The Hawaiian island of Oahu was the honeymoon destination of Brad Payne and his bride, the former Melissa Householder, following their wedding July 30 at St. Charles Church.
The Rev. Matthew Mankowski presided at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony, and a reception was held for the couple at the Byzantine Center at the Grove in Youngstown.
The bride is a daughter of James and Linda Householder of Austintown and Sandra Householder of Poland. Parents of the groom are Richard and Susan Payne of Austintown.
The couple live in Boardman.
Fashioned of ivory satin, the bride's A-line gown was enhanced with pearls, sequins and embroidery.
Michelle Householder and Rachael Vaphides were honor attendants, and bridesmaids were Renee Waldo, Michele Vennetti, Toni Reebel, Katie Lape and Holly Friedrich. They wore cappuccino-colored gowns. Flower girl was Haley Martin.
Serving as best man was Michael Christoff, and groomsmen were Brian Payne, James Gomochak, Jon McCarty, Donnie Ferko, Jess Stewart and Matthew Morgan. Ring bearer was Nicholas Waldo and Bible bearer was Frankie Waldo. Ushers were Frank Waldo and Steve Antal.
The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in marketing. She is a leasing agent in Boardman.
The groom, a bricklayer, is pursuing an associate in computer-aided drafting at ITT Technical Institute in Youngstown.
