XMONACA, Pa. -- Living in Unity after a honeymoon at Riviera Maya in Mexico are Giuliano Battaglini, 49411 Foxwood Lane, East Palestine, and his bride, the former Gina DiMatteo, 1021 Blaine Road, who were married July 16 at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church.
The Rev. John McKenna presided at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony, and the couple were honored during a reception at Antone's Banquet Center, Boardman.
Parents of the bride are John and Gemma DiMatteo of the Blaine Road address, and the groom is a son of Crescenzo and Emma Battaglini, 3605 Timberbrook Trail, Poland.
Black and silver gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Dina Lalama, and the bridesmaids, Emily Brinsey, Jenna Buffa, Alecia Badini, Christi Beckner, A'Frica Sheppard, Jessica DeMatteis and Heather Davis. Flower girl was Michela Palma.
Vince Rubino performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Marco Ramunno, Marco Battaglini, Carmen Ramunno, Emilio Battaglini, John DiMatteo, David Rubino and Dr. Nino Rubino. Ring bearers were Luke Scheetz and Travis Gould.
The bride graduated from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pa., with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She is a teacher with Aliquippa School District.
The groom, a physical therapist assistant with Forum Health in Youngstown, graduated from Youngstown State University and Kent State University in East Liverpool.
