Sara McCaughtry to be bride of Jerry LaVecchia

XThe engagement of Sara McCaughtry and Jerry LaVecchia, both of 3102 Waterville Place, Charleston, S.C., is being announced by their parents.
Rick and Mary Ann McCaughtry, 237 Watson St., Lowellville, are parents of the bride-elect. The prospective groom's parents are Laura Lee McCarthy, 1632 E. 47th St., Ashtabula, and the late William McCarthy, and Gerard and Empy LaVecchia, 3722 N. Wintergreen Way, Avendale, Ariz.
The couple's wedding will be held by invitation at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 8 at Struthers Presbyterian Church. Invitations will also be issued for their reception that evening at The Embassy in Youngstown.
The bride-to-be is an account executive with Adecco Employment Services in Charleston.
The prospective groom is a regional operations manager with Source Media in Charleston.
