FIFTY YEARS AGO: The top photo shows all that was left of the Gateway Restaurant and Isaly Dairy store in Andover after an explosion and fire Aug. 10, 1955, that killed 22 people and injured a score more. The cause of the explosion was never determined. The lower photo shows the site in 1980, 25 years after the explosion.
