ON CAMPUS Greco shifts to left tackle for MAC champs

The Boardman High grad will replace all-conference tackle Nick Kaczur.
TOLEDO -- John Greco of Toledo, who started all 13 games for the Mid-American Conference champion, will move to left tackle this season.
Greco will replace four-time All-MAC tackle Nick Kaczur, who was selected in the third round of the 2005 NFL draft by New England.
A Boardman High graduate, Greco (6-foot-5, 311 pounds) started at right tackle last year as part of an offensive line that powered Toledo's 11th-ranked offense in the nation (459.2 yards per game) and he was named the Norman Cohen recipient as team's top freshman.
The Rockets, led by coach Tom Anstutz, starting his fifth season, got off to a slow start, losing to Minnesota 63-21 and Kansas 63-14. They won nine of their next 10 games.
Toledo lost to Miami 23-16 in a regular season game Nov. 2 as the RedHawks scored the deciding touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Toledo (9-4, 7-1 MAC) beat Miami 35-27 a month later for the MAC crown, earning the Rockets their ninth bowl appearance in school history.
The Rockets lost to Connecticut 39-10 in the Motor City Bowl.
Toledo opens the 2005 season with home games against Western Illinois Sept. 1 and Western Michigan Sept. 10 at 7 p.m.
Texas
Tyler O'Halloran qualified for the next Olympic Trials in four events at the Conoco-Phillips National Swimming Championships at Irvine, Calif.
The Olympics Trails will be held in Lincoln, Neb., July 2008, with the top two advancing to the Olympics in China.
The Boardman High graduate will be a junior for the Longhorns.
He placed 12th in the 100-meter butterfly in 54.26 seconds at Irvine. He was 19th in the 50 freestyle (23.46) and 30th in the 100 freestyle (51.54).
In a time trial in the 100 breaststroke, O'Halloran posted the ninth-best time in the nation this year (1:02.52).
Central Connecticut State
Coree Tucker, a 6-0, 210-pound senior, and Ryne Nutt, a 6-4, 305 junior, were named preseason All-Northeast Conference.
A Warren Harding graduate, Tucker earned an All-NEC award last season. A linebacker, he finished fifth in the conference with 89 tackles and three interceptions, including one for a touchdown.
Nutt, a Howland High graduate, is an offensive lineman.
Westminster
Christina Adams, a Hubbard High graduate, will play soccer at Westminster.
A forward-midfielder, Adams posted a four-year career total of 35 goals and 40 assists.
She was a three-time all-county selection, two-time all district and all-Trumbull Athletic Conference choice. She was named Hubbard MVP and top offensive player and was a nominee for the Wendy's High School Heisman.
An honor roll student, she plans to major in elementary education.
Allyson Meff, a Neshannock High graduate, will also play soccer at Westminster.
She played forward and left midfield for Neshannock and her four-year career produced 75 goals and 23 assists. She was named to the Section 5-AA All-Star team.
A National Honor Society student, she plans to major in elementary education/special education.
